Professional Portrait Photographer, Author, Mentor and Creative Storyteller
Photography has been a lifelong passion and profession that has taken me across continents, introduced me to remarkable people, and allowed me to capture some of life’s most important moments.
Over the years I have worked as a professional photographer in both the United States and the United Kingdom, specialising in portraits, weddings, special events, and commercial assignments. My career has provided opportunities to photograph people from all walks of life, helping individuals, families, professionals, performers, and businesses preserve memories and tell their stories through photography.
Today my primary focus is portrait photography in Hampshire and Basingstoke, creating professional portraits that capture personality, character, and genuine emotion. Whether working in a studio environment or on location, I strive to create images that feel natural, authentic, and timeless.
Experience Beyond the Camera
My career has never been limited to photography alone. Throughout the years I have also worked on video and film projects for clients, gaining valuable experience in visual storytelling, lighting, composition, and creative direction. These skills continue to influence my photographic work today, helping me create images that go beyond simply recording a moment.
Photography is not just about technical ability. It is about understanding people. Every successful portrait begins with communication, trust, and creating an environment where clients feel comfortable and confident. This approach has helped me build lasting relationships with clients and produce portraits that reflect who they truly are.
Author and Educator
In addition to my work behind the camera, I am also a published author with books covering both photography and leadership. Writing has allowed me to share the lessons, techniques, and experiences gained throughout decades of professional work.
Teaching and mentoring others has always been important to me. Whether helping aspiring photographers develop their skills or sharing leadership principles developed through years of experience, I enjoy encouraging others to grow and reach their potential.
Inspired by Creativity
Creativity does not end when the camera is put away. I have a lifelong appreciation for music and enjoy exploring a wide variety of genres. Live music, in particular, has always inspired me through its energy, emotion, and ability to bring people together.
I am also passionate about film and cinema, appreciating the storytelling, visual artistry, and creativity that make great movies memorable. Many of the principles that make powerful films resonate with audiences can also be found in strong photography: composition, emotion, timing, and narrative.
Travel has played an important role throughout my life as well. Experiencing different places, cultures, and perspectives has helped shape both my personal outlook and my creative vision. Every destination offers new inspiration and a deeper appreciation for the diversity of people and experiences around us.
