The portraits in this gallery were not made by technique alone. They were made by creating the right conditions, a calm atmosphere, a genuine conversation, enough time to let the subject settle, and the patience to wait for something real.
Technical skill matters. Lighting, composition, and timing all contribute to a strong portrait. But they are tools, not the point. The point is the person. A technically perfect image of someone who looks uncomfortable is not a good portrait. A technically simple image of someone who is completely themselves can be extraordinary.
